ENGLISH LANGUAGE SOCIETY

    The English Language Society (ELS) was established in 1983. Currently, the society has a membership of 46.

     The objectives of our society are:

     (1)To arouse the members’interest in the learning of English.

     (2)To raise the standard of English

     (3)To instill the spirit of co-operation and teamwork

     (4)To nurture leadership qualities among all the members

     The English Language Society holds its weekly meeting on Fridays. During the meetings, a variety of English language-based activities or games are to be carried out to ensure that our members will be motivated in learning the language.

   This year, the ELS participated in the Marching Contest organized by the Scouts and Guides Movements. We also took part in the art exhibition-cum-sale held on our school anniversary day. In May, together with the members of the Maths and Science Society, our members visited Putrajaya Township and the National Science Centre in KL for the Nobel Prize Centennial Exhibition.  Besides, the ELS’s members were requested to take care of the cleanliness of the multi-purpose hall.

   Lastly, we wish to thank our teachers-in-charge and advisors for their guidance and encouragement. We are also grateful to all our members for their co-operation and contribution throughout the year.
